Bug munching day

Date: Saturday, August 13, 2011.
Time: 1200 EEST (UTC +3)

Agenda:

1) Iekku: life of a bug (management stuff), 45 min - 1 hour

2) Sandst1: debugging tools (gdb, valgrind) and their basic usage, 45 min - 1 hour
(take a program -> make it slow in some places -> break it -> investigate with valgrind and fix it with gdb)

3) longer break

4) Group work. Participants are divided into teams and each team is given a bug or two (or even more?) from bugzilla. Something not too hard. Perhaps they could select the bugs themselves. Teams work on the bug for some time (2-3 hours perhaps). Then each team presents what they did, how they solved (or tried to) the bug(s) and then there is discussion. Or they could select one bug case that they want to discuss in more details. Same for every team.
